I will be honest, I had very low expectations for this confused little vehicle. It can't seem to make up is mind about what it wants to be. Entry level crossover, small SUV, hatchback, performance car... And that wing! I was expecting to oppose the very idea of this thing. X1's to me are stupid, pointless, and boring; so why wouldn't this be? The reality however is the complete opposite. I love it. It isn't perfect by any means. But pictures don't do it justice. It's just a bigger version of a small hatchback, and rant not that much bigger. And it looks so mean and fast! Carbon fibre dash, Recaro seats, black with red accents all over. The seats are sex, they are almost orgasmic to see in person and sit in. My only regrets are that I can't afford one right now and I didn't take me pictures. If you want specs, ask Google, or Siri, or even yahoo if you're into that kind of thing. I didn't get to ride in it or drive it because about a year ago some asshat salesman made a big stink and said some stupid things and ruined that for everyone, so no more rides during AMG class. But if it's anything like the CLA45 it will be a blast. It does however has an awesome exhaust note. Disclaimer: this is not meant to be some fluff piece with the intent of selling you a car. I fix them, I don't sell them. The way I see it, drive and let drive. Diversity is a good thing and if you don't like this car, cool, I don't really care.

Uh, do we have this in America?

Soon, we'll get the 250 and probably a diesel.

We will. Configurator is up already. I think it's coming out in November. Don't quote me on that, I was too busy looking it over and playing with it to hear when it goes on sale here.

250 and 45 for sure though I haven't heard of us getting a diesel in the US, unfortunately.

I actually think this is cooler than the CLA45...hatchback, slightly lifted, crazy powered turbo-4. This needs to go rallying!

This makes me very angry. What a dick. WHAT DID HE SAY

Underneath is basically the same car, there are differences obviously but power and performance are pretty much the same. I agree though, would be awesome!

This didn't happen at my store, but the story as I remember it goes like this... AMG trainer doing his class, which is only an hour long BTW, asshat is rude and asking stupid questions the whole time "why can't we get it this way? Why wouldn't they just buy competing carX? I think it's stupid that you have to let it warm up before you can rev it. Why can't I go to the driving Academy instead of the buyer? Why are you wasting our time?". But most of the time he was in and out, on and off the phone, sometimes he just interrupted class to have his phone calls. So, understandably, AMG trainer lost his patience after a little while and was rude right back to him. When it came time for rides asshat was on the phone again, MIA. Then he expected a ride as AMG trainer was trying to leave. That didn't happen. We have to fill out surveys on how well the class went and rate the performance of the trainer. Well asshat gave trainer all zeros. If trainer gets enough bad scores consistently, he doesn't get to be trainer anymore. So trainer decided no more rides if it could end up costing him his job because of some asshat. And that trainer gig is pretty sweet.

Wow what a dick. That sucks. How the hell does an asshole like that get a job in the first place? I'd be pissed too if I were a trainer.

Who knows. My theory is that most sales departments are run so poorly that they just hire anyone in a suit with styled hair regardless of qualifications, or if it's a female she will have no knowledge of cars beyond paint color her only "qualification" being how attractive she is. All that most of those people care about are numbers.

Hmmm. Maybe I should get a haircut, throw on a suit, and schedule an interview with my Merc dealer.

Hey it couldn't hurt! Or any dealer for that matter. But whatever you do, don't tell them you're an enthusiast. Tell them that you have no soul and only care about profits. Actually, I think that strategy could get you hired at many large corporations.

Good things can happen in back seats, if there is enough room that is.

Or you could get a nice set of tits, and a nice ass while you're at it...

I've never seen a really hot salesperson though, they're usually receptionists, and they're slutty as fuck (super high heels, super short skirt, and their books are popping out of their shirt, it's nice!).

Eh, I wasn't flexible enough to tackle such good things in the back of a Disco II with all the seats folded away. Consequently my wife got to make fun of me. A lot.

I know right?!? That's one reason why I miss dealerships, there was always one fine ass receptionist. And the sleaziest salesman is always at her desk.

Everytime I go to the BMW dealer all of the salesmen are at the desk. lol.

Oh wow she's THAT hot?? How come you don't spend all your time there, in your dad's Porsche? I'd walk in there, put the key on the desk, and say, "I need to get my Porsche serviced. Yeah, that's right, I've got a Porsche, baby."

lol nice, for the record, range rovers have much more room back there and could be considered borderline comfortable in those situations. Also the tailgate is the perfect height for loading and unloading, wink wink.

No, you're right, I'd tell her I've got a Mercedes, because that's even more baller (and carries less of a mid-life crisis/small penis vibe).

Yeah bad idea. They depreciate like stones once the initial crush of new model demand dies and they break pretty darn often. Have a client who just got a new one for his wife, it's on it's second set of diffs.

Couldn't care less about depreciation or maintenence, really. Course, I am an Italian car owner and former Land Rover owner, so maybe I'm just vaccinated already.
